Who we are

The heart of Arteseos is none other than my heart, which beats loudly every time I pick up the tongs and start creating.

I am Aurora, a woman who, after many years of research, has turned a passion into a real job.

The story of Arteseos begins in 2013 in Mexico... sometimes life plays to shuffle the cards we had put on the table and on that occasion I found myself all alone with a one-way ticket to the beloved Latin country.

When we talk about Mexico everyone thinks of Caribbean beaches but I, with the stubbornness that distinguishes me, decide instead to go to Puebla, a city at more than 2000 meters above sea level.

Despite my zero level of Spanish I managed to integrate perfectly into what was the artisan scene of the city and immediately apparently uninteresting materials such as metal wires began to come to life in my hands.

The name Arteseos was born shortly after and is nothing other than the acronym of Artesania (which in Spanish means Craftsmanship) and Eos (my name in Greek).

From that moment on I have never left the pliers behind and any opportunity to learn a new technique from a master has always been more than welcome.

What I propose to you today is therefore nothing more than a combination of ancient techniques and modern styles. A fantastic combination that has always been appreciated by those who have known me.

After finishing the two-year experience in Mexico, I decided to return to Italy and from 2015 to 2020 I always exhibited on summer evenings in the cute Piazza Colombo in Costa Rei in Sardinia.

From summer 2021 you can find me in my shop/workshop in Sardinia, in Villasimius (CA) in via Umberto I 106 open approximately from April to October.

This new experience meant that Milo, my life partner, could also officially become part of Arteseos, both in terms of retail sales and the creative and production process.

Its important presence allowed me to dedicate myself to other experiments and so from January 2022 the new traditional ceramic and Raku lines were born

Now I have decided to get back into the game and to combine the use of pliers with the use of the computer so as to be able to satisfy all those people who have been following me for years but who perhaps I don't have the pleasure of easily meeting in person.

This site will be our virtual meeting point and, as you already know, I will do my best to satisfy your every request.

PS Many of you have asked me why in the product descriptions I speak as if we were more than one person... the answer is simple: even if I am the person who physically makes the pieces I cannot fail to take into account my sweet life partner who he has the love and patience to support me throughout this project... from helping me in the world of the web to taking care of the house and the furry friends on those days when I am completely immersed in the creative process.

I therefore publicly thank him, but also my family who has always supported and put up with me, and all my dearest friends.

And now a small Mexico Gallery...
